HAVEN PLAYLIST
If you’ve read HAVEN, you might be wondering about that iPod that Violet gave Aidan for Christmas–what songs would be on his “favorites” playlist? What kind of music would a guy like Aidan like to listen to?
So….I give you AIDAN GRAY’S OFFICIAL PLAYLIST! Or, “music to read HAVEN by.” Something like that! Some songs on his playlist have real meaning for him (for example, “October” by Broken Bells–Aidan’s birthday is in October, and it’s also the month that he first meets Violet.). Others are on his playlist simply because he likes them. And others, well…you’ll figure it out if you’ve read the book! But the songs–and their order–kinda tell a story.
Hope you enjoy it!
Here’s the link to the playlist on SPOTIFY.
1. Waiting for the End — Linkin Park
2. And She Was — Talking Heads
3. October — Broken Bells
4. Young Forever — Jay-Z (featuring Mr. Hudson)
5. In the Aeroplane Over the Sea — Neutral Milk Hotel

12. A Sky for Shoeing Horses Under — WHY?

Hi I am writing a book, well trying and it’s kind of a young teenage paranormal book and I was just wondering if you could give me any pointers? I have read the first 2 chapters of Haven and i’m already obsessed in reading the rest, i just can’t afford to buy it right now.

i think you should make a movie out of the three books. My friends and I talk about how it would be the best movie ever, since the books were so good!

Bailey

Hi, Adrianna! I’m so glad to hear you’re writing! One thing I would recommend is find a nearby writing workshop to attend, if you can. Otherwise, you can get some really good pointers online. I’m a monthly blogger at a site called the How To Write Shop (http://howtowriteshop.com/) If you put my name in the “search this site” box, it should bring up all my articles. Hope you find something helpful! But mostly, just keep writing! Like anything, it takes a lot of practice.

Thanks, Bailey–I’m so glad you enjoyed the series!! As to movies, well…I wish I had something to do with that happening, but I don’t. 🙁 Just like you, I can only hope that a film company decides to buy the rights and make a movie! FIngers crossed.

this book is great i finished it in one day. It really captivates the reader, i love their connection they have, i mean Violet and Aiden of corse. Once you grab the book you dont stop reading. Your a great writer by the way, and you definetly should make a movie. It would be the best movie in the history of movies.

Haven was one of my Christmass gifts. Today, I finished it and I just can’t wait to reed the second one. I normally take one or two weeks to reed a book this big but this one was so amasing that I just couldn’t stop!!! You’re an amasing writer, I’m really impressed. I think you really should try to make a movie! Go at the film companies’ studios and tell them you’d like to make a movie!!!!!! That would be great 🙂

wow i really enjoyed these books, they are seriously one of the best book series i have read in a while! i cant believe how quickly i finished each book too, took me maybe like 2 days to finish each one, i seriously did not take them out my hands- yeah, they were THAT good! i was looking through your FAQ and saw that you would possibly consider a summerhaven series? it might have been a while ago that you’ve answered that question so i was wondering if you’re still taking it into consideration? I REALLY HOPE YOU WOULD THOUGH, THAT WOULD BE FANTASTIC!!

Hi Kristi! I’m doing an extensive multigenre Author Study project on my favorite author, you, in my Honors English class. I was hoping you could tell me why you chose to write YA fiction and how you came to write so many great books.

Hi, Nourhan! I wish I could talk to some movie company people! Unfortunately, it all sort of has to go through my literary agency, and so far there hasn’t been any interest. 🙁

Hi, everyone! Hope I’ve managed to reply to everyone’s comments–sometimes I forget to check for a while! You can always reach me at [email protected]. I usually respond to emails pretty quickly! As to removing comments, the only ones I’ve removed were ones that contained spoilers about the ending of ETERNAL, just so that readers who haven’t yet finished the series won’t have it all “spoiled” for them!

Hi kristi! OMG I cannot even begin to explain how much I enjoyed your books. I remember getting sick and staying out of school for two days and I read both Haven and Mirage, in those two days. Unfortunately it took me forever to finally get to read Eternal due to all the reading I had to do for school but when I finally finished I just can’t even explain it was just so great! I connect with those books on a spiritual level ahahaha! Anyway, you are one of the many authors that inspires me for my writing. I would like to be a writer and I’ve already got two books on wattpad with around 4.3K reads which is a huge deal for me. And this is all thanks to my favorite authors including you! So thank you for writing these books it was a great experience to read them!

Hi Kristi! I just finished Haven and I borrowed the other 2 books from my school’s library and I was totally addicted to Haven when I was reading it. (I literally ignored all my homework until 8pm because I couldn’t stop reading). How I found Haven was actually because my English teacher demanded us to find a book for the new unit. I was really just walking around the bookshelves aimlessly and then I spotted the butterfly on the side of the book. My English homework is to read at least 400 pages before the unit ends in February, apparently I used 3 days to finish my homework 🙂 Can’t wait to start reading Mirage!! Actually it’s right in front of me so I’m gonna start it right now~

Thank you,
Christina

Hey there, I love your series it is extremely interesting. I think it is safe to say that this is one of my all-time favourite series. The characters are so well made it is unbelieveable the personalities and everything I love it. Of course you would know how to do that you being an author and all. Just to let you know before I continue this will be exceptionally long. Violet. Where can I even begin? I love her my favourite character. It is kind of a clisha I know, but she is. I love her personality her hobbies, and the obvious fantastic taste in music. Hah. Also, I like to know that in this story the girl isn’t helpless I sorta stay away from that. She has fight and heart. Amazing.

Hi!

Hi, my name is Kayleigh, and the Haven series is my favorite since JK Rowling’s Harry Potter. Anyway, I know books never turn out like the movies but I really wish that this series would become more popular. The only way I read it is because it looked interesting as a book in the teen section of my local public library. There should be an upbringing of this beautiful series. I also noticed that Demons was down for Mirage’s playlist, that’s my favorite song and I haven’t even noticed how that easily fits Aidan’s situation. Thank you, for giving me an unrealistic expectation for boys by the way. Just kidding. Matthew is like the bestest ever, but I’m only a middle schooler so. Hehehe. Thank you for writing my favorite series and I hope that you get more recognition for it.
